Seattle school gives day off owing to nice weather

Friday will be a ‘sun day' for 200 plus students at Bellingham Christian School. Principal Bob Sampson announced the occasion on the school's site.
Sampson said he wanted to give the students an opportunity to enjoy the sun and re-energise themselves. He said he had spoken to the guardians and put the proposal before the school board before announcing the decision.
Lack of off days owing to snow this year also made the decision to hold the sun day.
This is, however, not the first time that the school was kept closed because of sunshine. The last time such an occasion had come was two years ago.
