Pics: Sonia Gandhi & her futile attempts to woo Karnataka
Bangalore, May 3: Congress President Sonia Gandhi visited Bangalore on Thursday, May 2 and tried to woo the voters in Karnataka which is going to hold its crucial assembly elections on Sunday, May 5.
However, the UPA Chairperson seems to have failed in her mission as she had addressed a meeting with a large number of empty chairs at Palace Ground in Bangalore where at least 1 lakh people can gather at a time.
Congress party workers in Karnataka blamed the rising temperature in the city for the shocking number of people at Mrs Gandhi's rally. But experts believe that the party should take a lesson and consider it as a warning ahead of the assembly poll.
According to many surveys and experts, Congress may win the upcoming election in the state as people lost confidence in BJP following several corruption cases against the party leaders and ministers. However, citing the response towards Mrs Gandhi and other star campaigners of Congress, many started doubting the prospect of the party in Karnataka.
