Kolkata, April 30: Bidhannagar police sources here revealed on Tuesday that Ponzi boss Sudipta Sen, the boss of chit fund organisation Saradha Group which went bust recently robbing lakhs of people of their life savings, used to pay 44,000 US dollar to maintain a server in Boston to preserve confidential information of his organisation.

According to sources, the police was still not sure why Sen had maintained such an expensive server abroad while the same could be maintained in the country. According to one section, Sen did it deliberately for he knew that in case his organisation crumbled, authorities will find hurdle in unearthing confidential information.

It was also said that Sen had plans to invest in West Asia. The police is considering to take help of Interpol to make a breakthrough in the case, sources said.

Meanwhile, Asansol and Durgapur police on Tuesday interrogated Sen and his associate Debjani Mukherjee in connection to the chit fund scheme.

Sen and two of his associates were arrested at Sonamarg in Jammu and Kashmir last week after they fled from Kolkata in a car on April 10. Sen had revealed that a number of politicians, including those of the ruling Trinamool Congress in West Bengal, took favour from him.
