Candidate, two supporters shot dead in Pakistan

Abul Fateh Magsi, an independent candidate for a provincial assembly seat, came under attack in Jhal Magsi area where he had gone to campaign, Deputy Commissioner Saeed Ahmad told the media.
Xinhua quoted a spokesman as saying that the Election Commission of Pakistan postponed election in the area. A new date for the elections will be announced later.
Police said that Magsi had gone for campaigning on Monday and when he resumed his campaign Tuesday morning, unidentified gunmen shot him dead.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet. Police sources believe that the election rivalry could be the main reason for the attack.
