Stop Rape
New Delhi, April 24: Protests demanding the removal of Delhi Police Commissioner Neeraj Kumar over the brutal rape of a five-year-old girl continued for another day on April 23 with BJP workers marching towards Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit's residence and women demonstrating at Police Headquarters.

Small groups also protested near AIIMS and Jantar Mantar during the day. Women activists staged a protest near Police Headquarters.

BJP youth wing activists led by Delhi chief Vijay Goel marched towards Dikshit's residence. The protesters marched from BJP state office on Pant Marg to Dikshit's residence at Moti Marg where they were detained by police when they tried to break police barricades.

They were taken to Tughlaq road police station and were later released. Speaking to reporters, Goel said a BJP delegation will meet President Pranab Mukherjee and demand the removal of Sheila Dikshit government over deteriorating law and order situation in the city.

"A delegation consisting of our party office bearers and MLAs will meet the President and demand the removal of Dikshit...It's 'jangalraj' here. When the CM and her son demand the Police Commissioner's resignation, it means they agree that law and order in Delhi has totally collapsed," he alleged.

"The situation has deteriorated in the last two years. Going by the number of rapes, murder, theft and dacoity. Delhi has become a crime city. People have started calling it rape capital. We have written a letter to the President seeking his time, and when he gives us time, we will meet him and demand this government's removal," he said.
