Why PM is silent on B'lore blast while he sheds tears on US
New Delhi, April 17: Yesterday, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh wrote to US President Barack Obama expressing solidarity with the American people in the wake of Boston bombing, but Singh is yet to issue (till 6 pm) any statement on the Bangalore blast.
The social media is asking questions on the prime minister's silence even after it has been confirmed that the blast in Bangalore is a terror act.
Why is Manmohan silent? Is it because Karnataka is ruled by the BJP and also that the blast took place near the BJP office?
Just
like
his
party
leader
Shakeel
Ahmad,
is
the
prime
minister
playing
politics
and
keeping
mum?
As
the
prime
minister
of
India,
it
is
his
duty
to
be
expressing
solidarity
with
the
people
of
the
country,
regardless
of
the
magnitude
and
scale
of
tragedy.
In case of Boston incident, he said it was a "senseless and cowardly act". "The people of India join me in condemning the attack in the strongest terms. We stand in solidarity and sympathy with the bereaved families, the injured and the people of the United States," he said expressing shock and sadness over the attack.
Singh also offered full support to the US in the investigations into the attack.
But
in
the
case
of
Bangalore,
except
for
a
junior
home
minister,
nobody
in
the
central
government
is
talking.
Union
Home
Minister
Sushil
Kumar
Shinde
made
a
customary
comment.
But
where
is
the
prime
minister?
