Why PM is silent on B'lore blast while he sheds tears on US
New Delhi, April 17: Yesterday, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh wrote to US President Barack Obama expressing solidarity with the American people in the wake of Boston bombing, but Singh is yet to issue (till 6 pm) any statement on the Bangalore blast.
The social media is asking questions on the prime minister's silence even after it has been confirmed that the blast in Bangalore is a terror act.
Why is Manmohan silent? Is it because Karnataka is ruled by the BJP and also that the blast took place near the BJP office?
Just like his party leader Shakeel Ahmad, is the prime minister playing politics and keeping mum?
As the prime minister of India, it is his duty to be expressing solidarity with the people of the country, regardless of the magnitude and scale of tragedy.

In case of Boston incident, he said it was a "senseless and cowardly act". "The people of India join me in condemning the attack in the strongest terms. We stand in solidarity and sympathy with the bereaved families, the injured and the people of the United States," he said expressing shock and sadness over the attack.
Singh also offered full support to the US in the investigations into the attack.
But in the case of Bangalore, except for a junior home minister, nobody in the central government is talking. Union
Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde made a customary comment. But where is the prime minister?
Here are the tweets sent by the PMO after Boston bombing and quake in Iran:
On Boston:
Dr Manmohan Singh @PMOIndia (on Apr 16)
PM: We stand in solidarity and sympathy with the bereaved families, the injured and the people of the United States.
PM writes to US President: The people of India join me in condemning the attack in strongest terms.

PM writes to US President: I am deeply shocked and saddened by the outrageous terrorist attack in Boston.
Prime Minister condemns Boston bombings. Expresses his solidarity with the American people in the struggle against terrorism.
PM: In keeping with the excellent cooperation between India and the United States to combat terrorism, we offer you our full support.
After Iran earthquake:
Dr Manmohan Singh @PMOIndia
PM: Our thoughts and prayers are with the people who have lost their dear ones and suffered in this tragedy.
PM conveys deepest condolences for the loss of life, injury and destruction of property in the earthquake that hit Iran and Pakistan.
What is India saying:
Kush Biomedikal @biomedikals: Manmohan Singh will say on #BangaloreBlast. " Theekh hai" What next?
NEHAL SARDA @chefNehalSarda: Difference between Boston n #BangaloreBlast? There they'd look for the culprit, here we will search for a party to blame it on for poltics.
