Bangalore blast: Bike stolen from Andhra with fake TN number

Bangalore blast & its connection with Tamil Nadu:
During the initial investigation into the bomb blast case in Bangalore on Wednesday, April 17, police found a connection between the terror attack in the city and Tamil Nadu.
According to police sources, the bomb was placed on a stolen Yamaha motorcycle which had a Tamil Nadu license plate. Police sources confirmed that an improvised explosive device (IED) was used in the blast.
R Ashoka, Karnataka Home Minister, informed that mobile SIM card and details of the registration of the motorcycle found at the blast site at Malleswaram has been recovered.
"This was an explosion. Investigations have begun," said Bangalore Police Commissioner Raghavendra H Auradkar while confirming that it was indeed a terror attack in which at least 16 people including 11 police officials received severe injuries.
Initial reports said the explosion might have been caused by a cylinder explosion in a car. Witnesses said the sound of the explosion could be heard from a distance of three kilometres.
A number of vehicles and nearby houses bore the brunt of the blast. Authorities sensed foul play in the blast near the BJP office for Wednesday is the last day of filing nomination papers for the May 5 assembly polls.
Meanwhile, Ministry of Home Affairs confirmed the Bangalore blast was a terror strike. It, however, said it was still not known which terror outfit had carried out the attack. However, media reports claimed that terror outfit Indian Mujahideen might be involved in hatching the terror attack in the Garden City.
