Indore: Swine flu toll rises to 15

, Apr 15: A 60-year-old woman today died of swine flu here, taking the tally of victims having succumbed to the H1N1 virus to 15 in the district so far this year, a senior health official said.

"A 60-year-old woman undergoing treatment for H1N1 virus succumbed to the infection today in a private hospital," Integrated Disease Surveillance Project (IDSP) In-charge, Dr GL Sodhi told reporters.

The victim belongs to Jamgod village in neighbouring Dewas district and was admitted in a private hospital on April 5 after testing positive for the virus. A total of 45 persons are so far tested positive for the swine flu in the district out of which 15 have succumbed to the virus.
