Himayat Baig convicted in German Bakery blast case

Reports said Baig was found guilty of hatching the plot.
Hearing on the quantum of sentence for the convict will be heard on April 18.
At least 17 people were killed while several were injured in a powerful blast which had rocked the renowned refreshment joint in Pune on February 13, 2010.
Baig, who hails from Udgir in Latur district of Maharashtra, was arrested in Pune on September 7, 2010, in connection to the blast. He was arrested after police found 1,200 kg of explosives at his home. Others who have been named in the case are Mohsin Choudhary, Yasin Bhatkal, Riyaz Bhatkal, Iqbal Bhatkal and Faiyaz Kagzi. All of them are still absconding.
