Delhi shame: Woman gangraped by husband and relatives

, April 11: In another shocking incident from the Capital, a 20 year old woman was gangraped by her husband and his relatives in a moving car, police informed on Thursday.

The woman was found in an unconscious state on Wednesday evening, in west Delhi's Najafgarh area. A passer-by immediately informed the police.

According to the victim she was gang-raped by her husband Indrajeet and his two relatives, Nithin and Vijender. The accused are in the 21- 25 age bracket.

She said that she was made to take a drink by her husband after which she fell unconscious.

The victim is a resident of Haryana's Jhajjar district. She married Inderjeet in March without informing family members.

"The victim's medical examination was conducted at a hospital where doctors confirmed that she was gang-raped," said a police officer.

A case was registered on Thursday. The police traced the attackers in west Delhi's Bakkarwala village where they were hiding.

"She was called by Inderjeet to meet him here Wednesday to register their marriage through court. After arriving in Delhi, the woman was taken by Inderjeet in a car in which Nitin and Vijender were already sitting," said the officer, citing from the women's statement.
