Narendra Modi power: Now BJD again ready to support BJP

Bhubaneswar, March 25: Bharatiya Janata Party (

) must be overwhelmed as its former ally Biju Janata Dal (

) now is ready to support the party once again.

Orissa Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik's party seems to have made their decision clear after announcing that it would support BJP if the latter will be able to form the government at the Centre.

Speaking to a daily, BJD leader and Lok Sabha MP Bhartruhari Mahtab said that BJD would be willing to support a BJP-led government if the party and its allies have the capability to form the government at the Centre.

The senior BJD leader did not fail to consider Narendra Modi's imminent role in the upcoming election as he claimed that they would even support Gujarat CM as prime ministerial candidate leaving all controversies behind.

Naveen Patnaik and his party have been maintaining a distance with both BJP-led NDA and Congress-led UPA government ever since it had walked out of the NDA.

Now, ahead of the crucial Lok Sabha election which is expected to be hold in 2014, BJP seems to have received additional support in the form of BJD.

Despite such increasing support for Modi, BJP, however, has not cleared its stand on the PM nominee of the party. Citing the delay in the party it seems BJP might not upset its another crucial ally JD(U) whose leader Nitish Kumar has been opposing Modi's promotion to the post.
