Day 1 of Acharya Habba 2013: Fashion show wows audience

Bangalore, Mar 23: Models sashaying down the ramp to showcase the colourful works of fashion designers and rock bands setting the stage on fire were the undoubted highlights on the first day of Acharya Habba 2013.

Over 2800 students from 40 colleges in Karnataka have congregated at Soladevanahalli near here for the 8th edition of the Spring Festival that is celebrated every year by students and staff of Acharya Institutes.

Principals of all the Acharya Institutes attended the grand inauguration of Acharya Habba 2013 on Friday. While the audience was clearly wowed by the fashion row and musical extravaganza presented by the rock bands, other events such as face painting, drag race, group dance, mime shows, video games and ethical hacking witnessed enthusiastic participation too.

Sandalwood star Kishore, the celebrity guest on day one of the festival, graced the occasion and distributed the prizes to the winners of more than 40 events which enabled the students to reveal how they good they are in sports, academics and cultural activities.
