Munich, Mar 15: Arsenal crashed out of the Champions League round of 16 for the third consecutive year despite beating Bayern Munich 2-0 in the second leg.
The Gunners went down 3-1 in the first-leg at the Emirates but managed to comeback on 3-3 aggregate at the Allianz Arena and exited by account of the away goals rule.

Oliver Giroud stunned the home side with a third-minute goal to give Arsenal an early lead and hope of pulling off a miracle. No other team in the history of the competition had overcome a deficit of three away goals in the second leg.
