Italian Marines dupe India: How Sonia Gandhi, UPA bashed

Bangalore, March 12: Two Italian Marines, who killed Kerala fishermen, successfully duped India.

on Monday, March 11 sent a letter saying that the two accused will not return to India to face murder trial.

Citing the response of the Italian government, Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said, "I am reaching Delhi (Tuesday) night and I will take this issue up with the external affairs ministry. We are also looking to take up this issue legally."

Meanwhile, External Affair Minister Salman Khurshid said, "Reading the letter, no point in commenting without reading what they have to say."

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh also slammed the Italian government for protecting the two marines who were supposed to be tried for murder in India. shot dead a couple of Indian fishermen off the coast of Kerala in Feb 2012.

The two accused - Salvatore Girone and Massimiliano Latorre - were allowed to go to Italy to cast their votes for general elections in the nation. Now, the latest move of the duo brought criticism for UPA and its Chairperson Sonia Gandhi.
