Reformation of Delhi gangrape accused: Is Rahul Bose wrong?
Mumbai, March 11: Bollywood actor and activist Rahul Bose in the micro-blogging site Twitter has stressed the need to reform Delhi gang-raped accused. Is Rahul Bose wrong in suggesting the path of reformation for six rapists who committed such a heinous act?
Twitterati feel Bose is wrong in his logic. Rahul Bose suggested giving the Delhi gang-rape accused a chance to reform and create a "gender warrior" among them.

The 45-year-old actor received large-scale anger and protests on Twitter over his comment on reformation for rapists.
The actor said, "We have to ask ourselves of the five or six of the rapists of the December 16 is there anyone who wants to change, who wants to reform... Nobody is saying about commuting any sentence, the sentence stands as it is but while it stands can we create a gender warrior among them?"
"If anybody is open to reaffirmation, do we have it in us to subvert our patriarchal mindset and tell them that we are ready to confer even the right to reform to you, even if there is such a massive public upsurge against you?... If we have to... evolve as a civilization further beyond the boundaries of India, then we have to look at forgiveness," he said.
Some of the reactions on Twitter are as follows:
@calamur: "if men like Rahul Bose were groped and manhandled on a daily basis, they wouldn't come up turning rapists into 'gender warriors'"
@Raja_Sw @Meetasengupta:"@calamur What's a "gender warrior" anyway? Somebody who defends a gender? Tried to google term but couldn't get an answer."
@malviyamit: "@calamur He was only trying to sound intelligent and endear himself to the coterie of lunatics, read deluded liberals !"
@SatanBhagat: "Even Wikipedia doesn't know who Rahul Bose is."
@adimanubarwala: "Its funny how people living simple peaceful lives invite trouble & tormentation by speaking on issues dey r nt related to! #rahul bose"
