Narendra Modi slams Chidu's budget, finds ally in Kejriwal

New Delhi, March 1: Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said that the Union Budget 2013 showed how the ruling UPA government at the Centre had failed to connect to the people of the country.

Terming the budget as one bereft of strategy and vision and lacking coordination with the objectives of the 12th Five-Year Plan, Modi said the final budget of the UPA II government did not cater to the people's aspiration for development.

He said it was a mere formal document presented by the government before it completed its last year in power. It lacked sensitiveness towards people's needs, the Gujarat CM, known for his pro-development governance, rued.
