Twitter goes abuzz over Rajya Sabha & how SL tortures Tamils

New Delhi, Feb 27:

on Wednesday, Feb 27 witnessed heated debate over several issues such as Sri Lankan war crimes against Tamils, phone tapping of BJP senior leader Arun Jaitley and VVIP helicopter deal scam.

Slamming the UPA government, AIADMK's V Maitreyan said, "The UPA doesn't understand the ethnic conflict. It is blindfolded by the Lankan President. The Lankan constitution discriminates against minority Tamil."

Reacting against the opposition leaders' allegations, External Affair Minister Salman Khurshid said, "It is a matter of our consideration, concern and a matter of humanitarian nature. I want to share with the House that we have provided assistance to end the pain the agony in Sri Lanka, we have provided maximum humanitarian assistance."

Earlier on the day, Hamid Ansari, Rajya Sabha Chairman was compelled to adjourn the house briefly following ruckus over Arun Jaitley and phone tapping row.

Later Samajwadi Party leader Naresh Agarwal claimed, "It is a matter of concern that the leader of opposition's phone is being tapped, we need an answer from the home minister."

Agarwal was joined by members of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), Janata Dal (United) and AIADMK. VVIP chopper deal scam also rocked the Rajya Sabha on the same day.

Micro-blogging site Twitter also experienced the storm in the Rajya Sabha as it has gone abuzz over the discussion and debate in House.
