Wrong announcement at MP Railway Station costs two lives

A wrong announcement at the Central Railway's Gulabganj station led to this. Two children Mohammad Ali, 5, and his 8 year old sister died on the spot.
According to reports an announcement was made for a train leaving on the up line. Hearing the announcement some people tried to cross the down line by crawling under a goods train which was stationed there. However, the station master wrongly issued a green signal for the goods train, which suddenly started moving.
The railway station does not have a foot over bridge, which forced people to cross the tracks to reach the station.
After the incident villagers stopped rail traffic on route which blocked both the up and down tracks. Several trains on route were stopped at Bina, Bhopal and Vidisha railway stations.
