UK, Australia alert citizens on two-day strike in India

on Tuesday alerted their citizens on the two-day trade union

in India, updating them about possible disruption in transportation system and fuel supplies. The authorities in both countries reviewed their travel advisories for India.

The Foreign and Commonwealth office of the UK warned that if the strike proved to be successful, then functioning in public sectors like banking, public transport and fuel supplies could be disrupted. The trade unions have called the strike to protest government economic policies.

Australian sources have also issued an advisory on similar lines.
