Curfew in Kashmir
Srinagar, Feb 15: The continuous curfew in the valley seem to have enraged its people. A group of lawyers of the Kashmir Bar Association started protesting against government while many others claimed that all houses in Kashmir have turned into jails.

Curfew has been imposed in Kashmir since Feb 9 when the prime convict of Parliament terror attack 2001, Afzal Guru was hanged and was buried inside the Tihar jail premise in Delhi.

Criticising the government's decision, People's Democratic Party (PDP) leader Naeem Akhtar was quoted as saying, "Every home in Kashmir has been a jail for the last six days. This is not happening anywhere in the world, this cannot happen anywhere in the world and at least in the world's largest democracy."

Meanwhile, the lawyer, who took part in the protest march in Srinagar on Feb 14, demanded that Afzal Guru's body should be returned to his family members in Kashmir.

A lawyer was quoted as saying, "We are demanding the mortal remains of his (Afzal) body. This is our prime demand at this juncture."

Recently, Afzal Guru's wife Tabassum had sent a letter to the Union Home Minister demanding mortal remains be handed over to the family members for "proper burial".
