Aero India 2013 in pics: MPP, Assystem sign Mou
Bangalore, Feb 8: Aiming to offer a wider range of aerospace services to the Indian market, Assystem and Maini Precision Products (MPP) on Thursday announced signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for future collaborations.
Maini group -- a design and manufacturing company -- is planning to diversify into defence, land and aerospace systems, while Assystem is an international engineering and innovation consultancy.
"This collaboration aims at offering a wider range of aerospace services to the Indian market, at an apt time when the various procurement programmes of the Indian ministry of defence are at a mature stage," a release from MPP said.
The memorandum was signed at the ongoing Aero India show here.
Assystem's long experience in setting up assembly and manufacturing processes would be greatly complemented by MPP's expertise in design, manufacturing, delivery and testing services on parts and tools, it said.
"This first MoU is intended towards leading to an enlarged collaboration aimed at supporting European Original Equipment Manufacturers while increasing their international footprint," it added.
The MoU was signed by Dominique Louis, chairman, Assystem and Gautam Maini, executive director, Maini Group. The programme was attended by several other top officials of the two companies.
