Father bites off his 5-month-old baby's nose, lips, cheeks

, Jan 28: In a shocking incident in Bikaner,

, police arrested a man who has been accused of biting off his 5-month-old baby's nose, lips, cheeks.

The victim was rushed to near by government hospital where she was under treatment. However, her mother reportedly has taken the baby out of the hospital.

Doctors of the hospital informed that the baby needs extensive plastic surgery. Chairperson of the children's rights commission in the state, Deepa Kalra asserted that they will provide all essential financial aide to the family for the treatment of the baby.

Kalra and her group also have been pursuing the doctors to send the baby to Jaipur or the All Indian Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) for further treatment.

According to Bikaner police sources, the accused was drunk when he first attacked his wife. Soon his 3-year-old daughter became the victim of his rage which later targeted to the 5-month-old baby.
