Punjab: 26-year-old nurse abducted, sedated, raped by 4 men

Police said that the victim, hailing from a village in Punjab's Moga district, had come to apply for a job at a hospital in Sector 34 here. As soon as she deboarded at the Sector 43 bus terminus, someone accosted her and sought help to get to a particular address.
Before she could say anything, a car neared her and she was pushed inside it. The victim told the police that the car's occupants including two women whom she knew well sedated her immediately.
On waking up, the victim found that the kidnappers had removed all her clothes. There were four men in the room. One of them was filming her. She tried to alert people in the vicinity but the men again administered drugs to her. Subsequently, they forced themselves on her.
Yesterday, the men left the semi-conscious victim on the Dabawali-Bathinda road around 5.30 pm. A car driver named Rohitas Kumar rushed her to the nearby civil hospital.
According to doctors, she is in a critical condition. Tests have confirmed that she was gangraped.
A case has been registered against two women and the four rapists. Police are on the lookout for the accused.
