Weather: Amritsar remains coldest, fog affects flights

Amritsar remained the coldest place in plain areas as the minimum dropped by over a degree since Monday, the MeT office said in Chandigarh.
Ludhiana, too, braved a cold night at 3 degrees C, nearly five notches down since Monday.
Patiala also experienced the chill at 5 degrees C minimum, two notches below normal.
Karnal was the coldest place in Haryana at a minimum of 3 degrees C, down four notches than normal.
Hisar braved a cold night at 4.1 degrees C, down two degrees while Ambala's minimum settled at 5.2 degrees C, down three notches.
Bhiwani and Narnaul recorded identical lows of 6 degrees C each.
Chandigarh's minimum settled within the normal range at 6.1 degrees C.
Fog affects schedule of 25 flights at IGI Airport
Operations at the Indira Gandhi International Airport were partially hit due to fog today affecting the schedule of 25 domestic and international flights.
Twenty-five flights, originating from here, were delayed either due to weather conditions at the airport and the destination or due to operational reasons.
Only one flight was cancelled today, airport sources said.
There was no diversion of flights today unlike yesterday.
