Taking a dig at media, Asaduddin asserted that media should stop its trial on Akbaruddin who was arrested on Tuesday in connection with his hate speech against a particular religion.

Asaduddin, during an interview with CNN-IBN, was quoted as saying, "We are never against any religion. The alleged hate speech is subjudice and we are not going to run away from law, we will face it."

Earlier on Wednesday, MIM supporters attacked several vehicles, including those belonging to police and several media organisations (OB Vans) in Adilabad where Akbaruddin was arrested.

Meanwhile, police informed that Akbaruddin was evasive in his replies and continued to assert that his statements were misunderstood by those who lodged complaints against him. After watching a recording of his speech in Nirmal on Dec 22, senior officers decided to file more cases against him.

Earlier, two FIRs were registered suo motu against Owaisi at Adilabad and Nizamabad districts while a third case was filed by the Osmania University police after he allegedly delivered hate speech against a particular community last month. He has been booked under Sections 153A, 295A and 121 of the IPC.
