Chennai, Jan 7: Kollywood superstars Rajinikanth, Surya, Vijay along with many other actors and officials of the film industry held a day-long hunger strike in Chennai on Monday, Jan 7.
The protesters demanded to scrap the tax. Supporting the cause of the protesters at the venue, Rajinikanth was quoted as saying, "If there's a tough law to book tax defaulters, so much of money could be mobilised." Film and television shooting were suspended for the day and theatres remained shut till Monday evening.
