Juvenile rapist tortured Amanat most, hang him, cries father

victim urged Government of India to hang all six rapists including the juvenile one. The father of the 23-year-old victim claimed that the lone juvenile accused should not be let off just because of his age.

During an interview with a leading daily, the victim's farther said, "Imagine his brutality when he is 17...what a demon he would become once he is older? The government should reduce the juvenile age to 12 or 15 years."

"The juvenile should be punished first...he was the one who lured my daughter into the bus and tortured her most mercilessly. He should be hanged like the other five accused," added the father of victim who has given several names such as "Amanat", "Braveheart", "Damini" and so many.

"All the six accused should never be allowed to step out of the jail...they must be hanged. They are a threat to every woman on the street," chided Amanat's father who recently immersed her ashes on the Ganga.

Amanat, during her treatment in Safdarjung Hospital, had recorded her statement where she reportedly had claimed that all the culprits were involved in the gang-rape.

The victim was only able to whisper due to her serious condition but she gave details of how the accused had beaten up both her friend and her with an iron rod.

"After their attack, all six men took turns to sexually assault me. They threw us on the side of the road where I then fainted," the victim recounted. Her family members stood by the bedside while she recorded the statement.

Delhi police arrested all six accused and charge-sheet also will be filed against them on Thursday, Jan 3. The nation is observing "Black Day" in memory of Amanat who after a battle for 13 days, passed away in a hospital in Singapore on Dec 29.
