Complaint filed against Owaisi for 'inflammatory' speech

Social activist Shabnam Hashmi filed the complaint in Parliament Street police station drawing the attention to the speech made on December 24 in Nirmal town.
In her complaint, she alleged that "the whole speech is highly objectionable, inflammatory" and against country's cultural heritage.
"It is a strong attack on the values of our Constitution, democracy and secular values. Such obnoxious speeches divide society, vitiate peace and lead to conflicts and riots," she claimed.
She demanded that a case be registered against Owaisi under section 153-A (prompting enmity between different groups of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language etc and doing acts prejudicial to maintenance of harmony) of IPC.
