B'lore Shame: 2 Bhutanese women molested in Volvo bus

The two foreign nationals have alleged that they were molested by Volvo bus driver and conductor in India's IT hub Bangalore. The Bhutanese women, who are sisters, told media that police control room did not help them. The victims will lodge a formal police complaint on Friday, Dec 28.
Victims said bus conductor groped them. One woman added that the conductor pulled her hair when she attempted to disembark from the bus. The Bhutanese sisters lamented that though the bus was packed with passengers, nobody came to their rescue.
Authorities of Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC), which operates Volvo buses in the city, have promised to take necessary action against the culprits. Volvo buses, mostly painted in red and green colours, are the lifelines of the city. The luxury air-conditioned buses ply almost on every roads of Bangalore.
The Volvo buses are popular among the IT professionals as they have to cover huge distances between their homes and offices. This is for the first time that such a horrific incident has been reported inside the bus in Bangalore.
