Narendra Modi's swearing-in ceremony: Who is in, who is out?
Ahmedabad, Dec 26: It's going to be a memorable day for Narendra Modi who will take oath as Gujarat Chief Minister for the fourth consecutive time on Wednesday, Dec 26. The swearing-in ceremony is expected to begin at 11:00 am. [Watch Live: Narendra Modi's swearing-in ceremony]
According to Gujarat BJP officials, it would be a grand ceremony where top BJP leaders including Sushma Swaraj, Arun Jaitley, Rajnath Singh and many others will be present. BJP President Nitin Gadkari, who does not share a warm relationship with Modi, will also be present at the venue.

Gujarat BJP spokesperson IK Jadeja informed that Chief Ministers of other BJP-ruled states and also of some non-BJP ruled states will attend the function.
The list includes Tamil Nadu CM J Jayalalithaa and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) supremo Raj Thackeray. Parkash Singh Badal of the Akali Dal will also attend the function.
However, arch-Modi rival, JD(U) supremo and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar's absence is no surprise. According to sources, JD(U), a crucial ally of BJP in NDA, will not send any representative to attend the Modi's swearing-in ceremony. However, Modi is yet to receive a response from top leaders of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
According to sources, about 1,00,000 people will gather at Sardar Patel stadium in Ahmedabad. Security has been beefed up in the region. Modi had taken oath as Chief Minister for the first time in 2001 and then in 2002 and 2007.
