New Delhi, Dec 21: On Friday, Dec 21, protesters laid siege to Rashtrapati Bhavan (President House) demanding justice for the victim of brutal gangrape in New Delhi.

Students of JNU (Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi) and members of AIDWA (All India Democratic Women's Association) led the protest march to Rashtrapati Bhavan. Heavy deployment of the police force in and around the VIP area did not deter the protesters to carry on with their demand.

"We want justice...we want justice," protesters shouted slogans. Cries of "Hang the rapists...," were also heard in the protest sight.

A girl managed to overpower the police force and entered the Rashtrapati Bhavan. Swati, a student, told media persons she went in seeking justice.

"I entered the building complex in order to demand justice for the victim of the gangrape," Swati added.

"Such a terrible thing has happened with us and they tell us not to enter without permission!" Swati said. "These men have worn bangles!" she shouted angrily even as the girls around her shouted demanding justice.
