Despite the expected election results in the state, the margin of BJP's victory will be very crucial for Modi as the party may announce their decision over prime ministerial candidate based on the margin.

The party has already won in Vagra, Palitana and Dharampur. Beginning from tribal areas of Dang and Dediapada to major cities such as Ahmedabad, BJP is leading till 10:00 am. Congress would be shocked as the tribal areas were believed to be the stronghold of the party.

Modi's right hand and one of the main accused of Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter case, Amit Shah was also leading in Naranpura in Ahmedabad by 25,000 votes. BJP was leading in all five Vadodara City seats by more than 10,000 votes after three rounds of polling.
