Sonia Modi
Ahmedabad, Dec 10: Congress President Sonia Gandhi started an open war against Narendra Modi on the very beginning of her election campaign in Gujarat.

Addressing a crowd gathered at Siddhpur in North Gujarat, Mrs Gandhi slammed Modi and his government in the statement regarding Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India reports.

"According to news reports, wrong-doings (hera-pheri) are going on. We have known about CAG reports (talking about corruption). There is large-scale corruption in Gujar," said Mrs Gandhi.

Urging the aam-aadmi (commom man) of the state to vote against the current ruling BJP government led by Modi, Mrs Gandhi said, "We have to change Gujarat and bring it back to the right path of development. We will strive to come to power to achieve this. People will give a befitting reply to this anti-people government."

The Congress President commenced her campaign in the poll bound state on Monday, Dec 10. Her son and Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi too will follow her path and will join Congress leaders on Tuesday.

Gujarat will hold its crucial assembly election in two phases on Dec 13 and Dec 17. The result will be declared on Dec 20.
