WB shocker: Man beheads sister over extra-marital affair

on Friday.

An officer at Nadial police station, where Mehtab Alam walked into with the head of sister Nilofer Begum, said his colleagues were stunned when Hussain said that he had killed his sister for she was having an extra-marital affair. He also said that her body was dumped on a road in Ayubnagar.

It is learnt that the young woman was in a relation with a man. Later, she married another man but recently eloped with her paramour. Police said Hussain told them that he killed her to protect the family's honour. An angry Hussain also wanted to kill the paramour, the police said.

In September, a 17-year-old girl was hacked to death by her family members in Nadia district of West Bengal for having an affair with guy they did not like. The mother of the victim was arrested.
