Modern Draupadi: Wife lost on gambling table

gambling
New Delhi, Dec 4: Like in Mahabharata where the Pandavas had lost their wife Draupadi in a gambling game, a man from Nehru Nagar area in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, not far from the capital of the Pandavas, put his wife at stake in a gambling game and lost her.

According to a complaint lodged by the woman, her husband lost her in a game of gambling 10 days ago and the gamblers who had 'won' her came to her residence to take her away. The woman escaped from the situation and filed a complaint against her husband at Jarcha police station in neighbouring Noida.

The woman also accused that after few months of marriage, her husband had even asked her to have a sex with her brother-in-law, which she refused only to get beaten up.

In Pandavas case, Draupadi was saved by Lord Krishna but the Ghaziabad woman seems to have no saviours.
