Cong takes a dig at Modi, to release poll manifesto today

On Monday, Modi had said that a neo-middle class had been on the rise in Gujarat owing to the development it had seen in the last one decade. He said the government wanted to address their issues and a committee would be formed to define the new social class. The Congress took a dig at Modi, asking why did not the state government undertake the task in the last 10 years.
Congress spokesperson Manish Tewari said what the Gujarat CM said was peculiar. "It is someone saying I created the internet," he said. According to Tewari, it was the policy decisions of the UPA government that have helped the middle class in India prosper. The Congress leader said he could not understand what the Modi government was doing in the last 10 years and announced the housing scheme now.
