DLF scam: Kejriwal fails again, Vadra gets PMO clean chit

New Delhi, Nov 29: Despite much hullabaloos, Arvind Kejriwal seems to have failed to indict

. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's office (PMO) gave a clean chit to

's son-in-law asserting that allegations against him appear to be "false, vexatious and based on hearsay".

The PMO filed an affidavit in Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court criticising local activist Nutan Thakur's petition which had sought a direction for a probe into the land dealings between Vadra and real estate giant DLF in Haryana.

Listing objections to the maintainability of the petition filed by Thakur, a show-cause notice earlier was sent to the PMO on Oct 11.

Earlier, Haryana government also had given a clean chit to Vadra. Haryana's deputy commissioners have found no irregularities in Vadra's land deals. A panel of four Deputy Commissioners has given Vadra's deals a clean chit. Four Haryana deputy commissioners conducted inquiries into Vadra's deals after IAS officer Ashok Khemka's order, dated Oct 12.

Ashok Khemka had written a tell-all letter to the Haryana Chief Secretary regarding Vadra's land deals in Haryana.

Khemka had exposed dubious land deals in his letter. Khemka had, in his order, cancelled the mutation of the sale deed between Vadra's company Sky Light Hospitality and DLF over a 3.5 acre plot in Gurgaon district.

Khemka was transferred on Oct 11, three days after he initiated a probe into undervalued land deals between Vadra and DLF.
