Mumbai, Nov 22: India began celebrating Diwali once again on Wednesday, Nov 21 when Mumbai terror attack gunman Ajmal Kasab was executed.
Kasab was hanged at Pune's Yerawada Jail at 7:30 am and his body was buried inside the jail premises at 9:30 am.
25-year-old Kasab was the lone survived gunman of the deadliest terror attack which had shaken Mumbai and rest of the country on Nov 26 in 2008.
Kasab along with nine other militants had attacks few of the most prominent places of the dream city - Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, Leopold Cafe, Taj Mahal Hotel and Oberoi Trident and Nariman House. At least 166 people were killed during the terror attacks.
Now, after four years of the shrewd militant attacks allegedly operated by Pakistani terror outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba, India executed Kasab.
Despite criticism, most of the Indians joined the celebrations as they believe that Indian judiciary finally has given justice to the 26/11 victims and their family members.
