Bal Thackeray's health condition worsens, Mumbai shuts down
Mumbai, Nov 15: Mumbai came to a standstill on Thursday, Nov 15 when doctors informed that health condition of the 86-year-old Sena chief deteriorated.
A huge crowd gathered outside his residence "Matoshree" where a team of doctors along with nursing staff has been taking care of the Shiv Sena patriarch who is having breathing problems.

The Executive President of the party, Uddhav Thackeray, urged people to pray for his father. He said, "We are hopeful. You be hopeful. Let's pray."
Security has been beefed up around Matoshree. According to sources, shops have been shut down in Sena strongholds in Mumbai. Meanwhile, many Mumbaikars tweeted about the situation on the streets of the city where transport facilities preferred to stay off the streets. Reports also claim that most people kept their shops closed voluntarily in Mumbai.
Senior Sena leaders such as Manohar Joshi and Neelam Gorhe, who had visited Matoshree, did not make any comment on Bal Thackeray's condition while leaving the residence.
However, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut earlier on the day had stated, "The concern you are showing for the Shiv Sena pramukh will definitely help him and doctors are continuing to provide him with treatment."
