Congress stands for vote-bank politics, BJP for progress: Modi

"Politics in India is divided into two poles. One group is doing politics of vote-bank while the other is pursuing it for progress. While the Congress falls in the first category, the BJP stands for politics of progress," Modi said at the Chhattisgarh government organised function to celebrate the 12th statehood day.
Modi said India's youth now do not fall for false promises, instead want progress as seen in BJP-ruled Gujarat and Chhattisgarh. BJP-ruled states are doing well because the party is pursuing politics to bring development, he said. "Congress has ruled the country most since Independence and yet tribals are being neglected. This despite the fact that the party claiming that it thinks about the welfare of tribals," he said.
If a comparison is drawn between Chhattisgarh and other states, the BJP-ruled state will be a better example when it comes to development, the Gujarat chief minister said. Praising his Gujarat counterpart, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh said Gujarat has become a model state for development under the leadership of Modi.
Singh, while referring to the recently concluded investors meet, said that his government has inked 272 MoUs with investors which would lead to employment of over 6 lakh youths.
