Winter session of Parliament to begin on November 22

New Delhi, Nov 2: The winter session of

is set to begin on Nov 22 and will continue till Dec 22, official sources said on Friday. One official statement said the session is likely to conclude on Dec 20 owing to exigencies of government business.

The winter session is likely to see a repeat of the monsoon session this year, which was completely washed out as the Opposition, the BJP, did not allow the parliament to function over the coal scam allegations against the Manmohan Singh government. It is expected that both the ruling and the opposition parties will resume their battle in the coming session.
