Vijay Mallya succeeds; Kingfisher employees smile finally

New Delhi, Nov 1: Employees of

Airlines (KFA) might have smiled after a long time when

and management of the airline kept their promise and paid their due salaries on Thursday, Nov 1.

The employees, who observed protest and refused to report to their work places demanding their due payments, received the second instalment of their salaries.

The management of the aviation company earlier had vowed to pay their due payments before Diwali which will be celebrated on Nov 13.

Earlier on Tuesday, Mr Mallya had met Civil Aviation Secretary KN Shrivastava to brief him about the revival plan of the airline, whose flying licence was suspended by DGCA.

After his meeting Mr Srivastav, Mr Mallya said, "I have briefed the secretary on revival, restart plan. It would be a comprehensive plan. All hurdles will be crossed."
