UEFA Champions League 2012-13 Results
Amsterdam, Oct 25: Premier League champions Manchester City fell to a shock defeat at the Amsterdam Arena against Ajax. English giants Arsenal lost to Schalke at the Emirates while European giants Real Madrid and Milan narrowly lost in their respective matches against Borussia Dortmund and Malaga.

'Group of Death', group D took a major u-turn as Real Madrid lost 2-1 to Germany champions Borussia Dortmund while Manchester City are nearing the exit door after losing 3-1 at the Amsterdam Arena against Ajax. Roberto Mancini's side are now with 1 point at the bottom of the group with Dortmund on top with seven points.

Arsenal ended their unbeaten home record against non-English opponents as Schalke comfortably beat the Gunners 2-0 at the Emirates. Arsene Wenger's side are now second in Group B with six points.

Group C leaders and debutants Malaga continued their impressive run this season beating the likes of AC Milan 1-0 at home. The Serie A giants are currently second but their dreadful start in both domestic and European campaign could threaten their qualifying chances as Zenit St Petersburg registered their first win in three games after beating Anderlecth 1-0.

In other games, Olympiakos beat French champions Montpellier 2-1 while cash-rich Paris Saint-Germain beat Croatian club Dinamo Zagreb 2-0. Porto's clash against Dynamo Kiev ended in a 3-2 thriller, thanks to Jackson Martinez's brace which helped the Portuguese giants top group A with 9 points.
