Child knocked over by MLA's vehicle, critically injured

), Oct 20: A child was critically injured on Saturday night after a vehicle of a JMM legislator ran over him in the district, a police officer said. Superintendent of

Prabhat Kumar said the three-and-half-year-old boy suddenly came in front of the vehicle of JMM

from Torpa constituency, Paulus Surin, near Parenga village and was critically injured.

The MLA's driver was driving the vehicle in which Surin was travelling. The boy was referred to Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences, Ranchi, where his condition is stated to be critical, the SP said.

The SP added that a case has been registered.
