BJP MP's wife files papers as independent in Himachal

Dharamsala, Oct 17: A total of 66 candidates registered their nominations in the 15 assembly constituencies district of Kangra in

Sudha Sushant, wife of Sitting BJP MP Dr Rajan Shushant, was among those candidates who filed their nomination.

Mrs Sushant filed her paper from Kangra Chamba, Fatehpur constituency as independent.

Mrs Sushant earlier had applied for BJP ticket but when she was denied ticket from the party, she decided to go as Independent.

Mr Sushant has already been annoyed by BJP as BJP did not nominate his wife as a party candidate during the last assembly elections as well.

Maximum nominations were filed on Tuesday, Oct 16 from Dehra district where as many as 11 candidates filed their papers. Wednesday is the last day for filing nominations.
