IAS officer transferred for probing Vadra-DLF land deal

Robert-Vadra
New Delhi, Oct 16: A senior IAS officer in the land registration department of the Haryana government was transferred for reportedly scrapping a land deal between Robert Vadra, son-in-law of Congress chief Sonia Gandhi and realty giant DLF. The officer, Ashok Khemka, had annulled the mutation effecting the sale of 3.53 acres of land after he found irregularities in the transfer of the land from Vadra's Sky Light Hospitality Private Limited to DLF.

Khemka had written to the state chief secretary informing the latter about the ongoing land scams across the state. He also demanded a probe into the matter and also requested security cover for himself and his family against a possible retaliation from those who were exposed.

Meanwhile, India Against Corruption leader Arvind Kejriwal criticised the Haryana government for transferring Khemka. He also demanded an explanation from the state government over the turn of events.
