Indian Navy Chetak helicopter crashes in Goa, pilots dead

According to TV reports, both the pilots manning the helicopter died in the incident. One diver accompanying the pilots was also killed in the tragedy, said sources.
The Chetak helicopter was on a routine sortie from Mumbai to Bangalore via Goa, said an official of Indian Navy. It was stopping over at Goa for refuelling when it crashed on the runway.
In August this year, two MI-17 helicopters of the Indian Air Force had collided in mid-air in Gujarat's Saurashtra region killing all nine IAF personnel aboard.
The collision occurred over Sarmat village, when the personnel were on a routine training mission. Each of the helicopters, which took off from the nearby Jamnagar airbase, carried a pilot, a co-pilot and two other trainees.
