Cauvery row: Karnataka Bandh on Oct 6th, Protest on 5th

Rashtriya Kisan Sangha Karnataka committee President P Rama Reddy said the Cauvery River Authority's directive to release 9,000 cusecs of water to Tamil Nadu every day was a great blunder. He was addressing a press conference in Bangalore.
Although, pro-Kannada organisations had planned for a strike on Saturday, Oct 6, some groups are planning to keep the city shut on Oct 5, Friday.
Karnataka Rakshana Vedike (KRV) is working towards bringing the city to a halt on Friday over the Cauvery row. KRV President T Narayana Gowda said 25,000-30,000 members of the organisation would gather for a rally in the city on Friday and ensure that bandh is a success.
