Earthquake of slight intensity in Himachal Pradesh

New Delhi, Oct 2: An

on Tuesday, Oct 2, Met officials said. The quake which struck the Chamba-Lahul-Spiti border region at 09:15 hours measured 4.5 on the Richter scale, they said.

Residents of the earthquake affected areas came out of their houses after they felt the tremor.

However, no loss of life or damage to property has been reported.

"Tremors were felt for some seconds in several parts at 9.15 am," said a senior Meteorological Official.

The epicentre of the earthquake was said be on the border of districts of Chamba and Lahaul and Spiti, bordering Jammu and Kashmir.
