Cong to protest in Kolkata to counter TMC's Delhi rally

West Bengal Pradesh Congress Committee chief Pradip Bhattacharya said they would reach out to the people and present the true picture about FDI and nullify the TMC chief's anti-FDI campaign. The Congress will organise a protest march, which will conclude at Hazra Crossing in the city, located very close to the Kalighat residence of Banerjee.
Bhattacharya said the West Bengal government was doing injustice to the people of the state by opposing FDI in retail for it would deny them better opportunities in life. The Congress also slammed the Bengal Chief Minister for mimicking Prime Minister Manmohan Singh during an interview to a television channel and accused the CM of bringing personal rage to the political sphere.
Meanwhile, the TMC claimed that its protest rally in the national capital on Monday will launch its nationwide agitation over the issue.
